Happy New Year 2019 ~ Wishing you Health and Happiness

Over the past year Clos Mirabel has become a true family business.

Rachel and Xavier and their young family moved from Paris to take over Clos Mirabel both in its day to day running and its development. They fully share Ann and André’s vision of developing a seminar centre related to health and wellbeing and have brought their own areas of expertise and interest to the fold.

After an international career in trends and design Rachel now explores her passion for food and has started to provide fine dining that can be enjoyed on the terrace during the summer or in the Manor in wintertime. Catering for table d’hôte, weddings, seminars and events is now mainly provided here using fresh organic produce from the region or from André’s garden.

Xavier studied Beaux Arts at the Sorbonne and Steiner education in Stuttgart. He recently trained in Art Therapy in Paris and has created a fascinating Painting Holiday course for small groups that combines several areas of artistic tuition. The course takes place here at Clos Mirabel and in the villages of the Pyrénées to discover the outstanding beauty of the region. The catering is done in house with fine wines and local specialities.

André has recently trained in Permaculture and has started a sizeable garden. He continues his interest in health and well-being… an example to us all (which we do not always follow). He recently cycled 1500km across Canada in 11 days with his brother, no doubt taking inspiration from the growing number of cyclists who have come to Clos Mirabel either as individuals or as a cycling group.

Ann pursues her interest in Psychology training in Transgenerational Transmission. They are supporting the younger generation in their work and still have a keen and ongoing interest in the business and its development.

Heather continues to work with us from the UK and joins us with her family during the high season.

Emily has started university at Concordia in Montréal after two years living in St Petersburg to learn Russian. She returns often to spend time with us and will again this summer be working as part of the Clos Mirabel team.

Clos Mirabel is located in the south-west of France in the Jurançon wine region, a few minutes drive from Pau, a city steeped in history. Clos Mirabel offers several options for stays in Bed and Breakfasts, Houses, Holiday Homes or Furnished Studios ideal for family holidays, romantic stays and overnight stays for work or leisure.

We all look forward to welcoming you to Clos Mirabel

Our very best wishes to you.
